Fellowship Award for Michael Leahy.
Mr Michael Leahy, partner in the firm of Leahy and Conway Architects, was recently conferred with Fellowship of the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland. (F.R.I.A.I.). Mr Leahy commenced practice by establishing the firm in February of 1986 and has been a Member of the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland since that time. Fellowship is normally conferred in recognition of long-standing service to the profession and is an acknowledgement of a high level of valuable experience. The formal award of the Fellowship will be made at an awards ceremony later in this year. An essential part of the skill of an architect is in gaining experience using the procedures and methodology recommended by the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland which enables familiarity to be achieved with best methods of practice thus insuring the best quality service to a client. Mr Leahy has worked on a wide variety of projects since commencing practice and has particular skills in the area of regional and urban planning in which he qualified with a Masters degree in 1983.
